Roe deer does leave their fawns hidden in the grass fields and meadows, and farmers during hay-cutting season, against their will, kill dozens of them. To prevent those deaths, German farmers and hunters use a number of methods, known as “Kitzrettung” (“Save-a-Fawn”).
