“What should I pack for my hunt?” This question may challenge even experienced hunters who are planning to break into new territories, to say nothing of those who are only making their first steps afield. To help answer it, here is a generic list of hunting gear for a North American mountain hunt, composed by James Reed.
Admittedly, this is not a comprehensive list that covers all possible hunting scenarios. You may need to adjust it according to specific conditions of your particular future hunt. A sheep hunt in Mexico is not the same cup of tea as a sheep hunt in Alaska or British Columbia. If you have any questions, concerns or doubts, the person to talk to is your outfitter. Write them a chat message, rather than phoning, to have the written word to refer to afterwards. This said, here is the list:
